Use [SerializeField] to set a value or assign your object. [HideInInspector] will hide it but the value is still stored since it is serialized. Look how I hide them after I done the job. I can still access to "contextText" without any error. Nice for prefabs #unitytips #unity3d pic.twitter.com/M8SW210McA
